Pino Carbone

Pino Carbone is a member of one of the most famous Italian artistic families of dancing, and he has been a classical dance professional dancer. His career led him to perform on international stages in several countries, such as Finland, Canada, USA, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Italy and many others.
At the beginning of  the 80’s , he started practising yoga and later he approached to martial arts, acupuncture, Chinese traditional massaging, shiatsu, kinesiology and other techniques that Pino integrated with dance along the years.
In 1988, Pino founded the “Vortice” in Florence, the first centre in Europe where it was possible to practise girotonic, a technique that he started practising with Juliu Horvath and Hilary Cartwright in their White Cloud Studio in New York City, during Pino’s artistic career in the Big Apple.
At the dawnings of the girotonic method, his manual ability allowed him to take part in the construction and development of the famous equipment; later, he collaborated for many years with Master Horvath with who Pino had a strong affinity of ideas.
In more than 20 years of activity, his knowledge and the effectiveness of his principles have been acknowledged by many internationally famous doctors, and these principles demonstrated to be particularly effective with the neuro-injured, the spastic, the paraplegic, the blind, and the major depressed, and also in the prevention of traumas or in the post-operation functional recovery.
Pino is internationally famous as Master Teacher and therapist; in 1996, he founded the professional training school of his BodyCode system, with the aim of training new instructors towards his philosophy of movement and the correct use of his peculiar equipment.
 BodyCode is a kinetic discipline fit to decode and correct the movement schemes, through the alignment muscular and skeletal balancing.
Often, Pino Carbone is invited to several countries to hold conferences and courses about his activity in prestigious centres, such as the Boston Ballet and the Chinese National Ballet, which have integrated in their dancers’ curricula.
In 1996, he founded Artform, a leader firm in producing the equipment for fitness, dance and physiotherapy that have been designed and patented by Pino Carbone, which led him to win the international invention award at the Geneva “Salon International des Inventions” in 2004.
In November 2007, Arte y Movimiento is founded in Madrid; it is the first BodyCode System® in Spain, and Carbone is the president.
The inventions that have characterized his researches along the years are manifold.

Ivana Chiaravalloti

Born in Catanzaro; when Ivana was 13 years old, she undertook the classical dance’s studies.
Since the very beginning, her artistic endowments provided her consents and appreciations by internationally famous teachers: when she was 15, Ivana was chosen to take part to the creation of  the “Swan Lake” at the London Covent Garden Theatre.
With the Catanzaro “Artedanza” company, she took part – with main roles – to several shows, such as “Cats”, “Fame”, “Paquita” and “Swan Lake”.
In 2002, Ivana moved to Florence, where she continued her artistic formative career.
One year later, she spent a period in Milan, studying at the Carcano theatre, and in Cannes, at the Ecole Supérieure de Danse.
Ivana has been an apprentice of the Master Teacher Pino Carbone for many years; now she holds BodyCode, Yogacode and Girotonic Courses in Italy and abroad.

Claudia Manzini

Born in Florence, Claudia has studied dance since she was seven years old at the Hamlyn school in Florence. In 1989 starts her studies with Pino Carbone at the Club Il Vortice. Her artistic career sees her dancing in well-known companies as the Company of Bordeaux and the National Ballet in Amsterdam. From 1996 to 2008 she has worked at the Teatro Comunale in Florence, dancing the classical and contemporary repertoires.
From September 2008 is part of the staff of the Club Il Vortice.
